Dr. Thomas Henderson

Biography:

Thomas Henderson was named Vice Provost for MU Extension Division at the University of Missouri-Columbia in December 1999. Immediately prior to his appointment, he served as Interim Vice Provost from July 1999 - December 1999 and Interim Associate Vice Provost from November 1998 - July 1999.
He served as System Program Director for University Outreach and Extension programs in Community Resource Development at the University of Missouri System.

Dr. Henderson has conducted numerous professional development conferences and seminars and has received recognition for his managerial excellence. He has served as principal investigator for grants and contracts with SBA, EDA, NIST, the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, Missouri Department of Natural Resources, as well as Extension Service/USDA.

Dr. Henderson holds a B.S. in Business from Southwest Missouri State University, a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia; and in 1977, received his Ph. D. from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in Education with a concentration in Higher Education Administration.

Dr. Henderson is an active member of the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges, the University Continuing Education Association, and the International Community Development Society, as well as numerous state and local organizations.
