Tiffani D. Hill

Background: My parents are Sonny and Sue Hill. I am the oldest of four girls; my sister's names are Patea, Alison, and Cameron. I graduated in the year of 2000, from Lincoln Southeast High School. In my free time I enjoy going to movies, listening to music, and most importantly spending quality time with family and friends.

Hometown: Lincoln, NE

Institution: University of Nebraska-Lincoln

College Major: Psychology

Why did you choose this major? : I wanted to find out why humans do the things we do. I also enjoy helping people deal with their problems.

What are you working on this summer?: As of right now I am interviewing researchers who are striving for Education Effectiveness on behalf of the NSF project. After I research their backgrounds, I interview them for more in depth information. I will also be posting a weekly newsletter and conducting visits to NSF field sites.

What do you hope to learn?: I hope to learn good work ethics, and how to be productive on a daily basis. Secondly, this will prepare me for years down the road when I have to conduct research.

What is the best book or magazine article you have read recently and why? :
It would have to be One Day My Soul Just Opened Up., by Iyanla Zavant. It makes you analyze your life and the decisions we make. You realize that until our soul opens up we will never be able to truly appreciate the meaning of life.

What are your long term goals? : My long-term goal is to graduate from college, and find a career that I will enjoy and be dedicated to.
