Biography:

David M. Nelson is Assistant Director for Communication and Educational Technology Services at the Unibversity of Missesota. Nelson provides administrative leadership for the unit that supports Extension's educational programs through the design, development, marketing, and distribution of educational materials and communication services, plus computer, video, distance education, and conference development. The unit consists of the following groups: Print and Electronic Publishing, Distance Education and Video, Information Technology, and Resource Development (including Grants and Contracts, Distribution Center and Customer Service, and Professional Education and Conference Planning).

Nelson has a B.S. degree from Utah State University in Agricultural Economics and a Ph.D. from Kansas State University in Economics.
