Randy Ross, ADEC Tribal College Coordinator for the NSF AISEP Project,
is joined in the ADEC booth by NSF sponsored Undergraduate Research
Interns. Stacy Sanchez (left) and Tiffani Hill (right) had an opportunity
to listen to research paper presentations, as well as conduct sessions
from the ADEC booth. Sanchez developed a participatory quiz that created
considerable interest. It included questions about American Indian history
and culture. Sanchez is working with Ross in conducting project research
at the Tribal Colleges and on tribal lands.
Randy Ross and Tiffani Hill hold discussions in the
ADEC booth with Richard Lundy, Nebraska Indian Community College and
Billie Strand of the University of Minnesota. NICC is one of the research
sites for the ADEC AISEP project. Strand conducts faculty development
workshops in the use of technology for delivering education programs.
Randy Ross and Richard Lundy from NICC are shown in
front of the ADEC booth which included information about the AISEP Project,
ADEC Awards and member institution programs and projects.
Janet Poley, ADEC President, and Tiffani Hill meet in
the ADEC booth. ADEC Tribal College members provided hand-out materials
for staff to use in explaining programs and progress on the NSF project.
Hill served during the summer as a Undergraduate Research Fellow. She
conducted web-based research for use by the Educational Effectiveness
team.
