Call for Participation - Professional Development/Capacity Building Collaboratory

FROM: Erik Anderson, University of Idaho

SUBJECT: Call for Participation - Professional Development/Capacity
Building Collaboratory

Greetings ADEC colleagues!

I am the lead facilitator of the ADEC Professional Development/Capacity
Building Collaboratory. I am writing to invite you to participate in the
collaboratory.

The purpose of the Professional Development/Capacity Building Collaboratory is to help ADEC develop the capacity and capabilities of its
members and their respective institutions. This goal can be achieved in
numerous ways such as by identifying opportunities for professional development or by providing direct assistance to the membership through
training, consultations, and group mentoring.

The Professional Development/Capacity Building Collaboratory has many possible areas of focus such as helping faculty and staff develop instructional design skills or providing technical support for emerging
programs.

Kathy Wright, co-PCO from Kansas State University, has graciously agreed to serve as co-facilitator for the collaboratory. Now we need a core group of interested participants to restart the discussion about professional
development and capacity building and to help get the collaboratory back
on track.

We'd like to see wide representation in the Professional Development/Capacity Building Collaboratory. We are particularly interested in involvement by the 1890 and 1994 institutions.

Kathy and I are ready to get the conversation started. If you are interested in joining us, please respond directly to me at eanderso@uidaho.edu.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Erik Anderson
University of Idaho
