- TASK: PART I
It is 20006. You are living in the
"Global Village". Half of you live in the North. Half of you
in the South. Later you will be participating in a distance
learning "hook up" between your two villages. Take 15 minutes
and create your village.
- TASK: PART I: QUESTIONS
| |
- Who are all of you?
- What is the climate in your village? The economy? The technology?
- What do you do during the 24 hours a day?
- What do you wear?
|
- What kind of community do you have?
- What do you eat?
- What will your children or grandchildren do when they grow up?
- What socio-cultural & technological facts would you like to share with your counterpart village?
|
- TASK: PART II
Prepare to participate in a distance
learning hook-up with your counterpart village. How will you
connect? What considerations will be necessary? What do you want
to learn from them? What will they want to know from you? Be
prepared to share your vision and aspirations for the future of the
Global Village......
- TASK: PART II
- Many are now advocating that KNOWLEDGE - not war and weapons -
should be the organizing principle for the world.
- How far has your village come in this direction?
- How have you shifted the use of technology from defense to
learning success?
- What remains to be accomplished?
